Chinese Cultural Cooking Summer Course for Kids
Calling all future young chefs and foodies; discover the rich and diverse flavours of Chinese cuisine.
This summer we are introducing a new course that will take your kids on a culinary journey through regional cuisines influenced from different parts of Hong Kong and China. They will learn classic Cantonese dim sum dishes such as the Cantonese-style shrimp dumplings, the shiitake mushroom & pork siu mai and a yum-cha favourite Tai Chi Yin Yang fried rice, which is a visually striking and delicious dish that blends in two distinct styles of fried rice in one harmonious culinary creation.
Another popular rice dish they will be learning is The God of Cookery’s Sorrowful Rice (BBQ Pork Rice). Taken from a well-known film, this BBQ pork rice dish has since become a Hong Kong staple dish.
They will also make the Traditional Chinese steamed dumplings that originated from Northern China.
For dessert, they will be making the iconic Cheung Chau Style Mango Mochi and the Hong Kong Cultural Heritage – Dragon Beard Candy.
